The family business, which began its operations in the medical sector in 1968 in Izmir under the name Biyoteknik Tıbbi Malzemeler ve Laboratuvar Sistemleri, served as the Aegean and Mediterranean distributor for the German company Boehringer Mannheim. Following the acquisition of Boehringer Mannheim's diagnostic division by Roche Diagnostics in 1991, the company continued its operations as the Aegean regional distributor for Roche Diagnostics Turkey.
In 2000, he founded the Izmir Private İlgi Medical Center, providing outpatient services in 16 different branches, followed by the Private İlgi Surgical Medical Center in 2006, offering surgical services in eight branches. In 2022, the group expanded into geriatrics and palliative care with the Private İlgi Elderly Care Center. By establishing Good Sense Healthcare Ltd. in the TRNC in June 2025, he is bringing half a century of experience to this region.
Gülen entered the healthcare sector in 2000, starting his career as a sales representative at Johnson & Johnson Medical Turkey. He held various positions ranging from product specialist to management. Through the establishment of competent teams and talent transfers, he played a critical role in the company achieving sector leadership in Turkey.
Since 2021, he has been conducting distribution activities in the fields of surgery and cosmetics. He has established strategic partnerships with numerous clinics in the field of Metabolic Surgery and has deepened his expertise in Health Tourism. Under the roof of Good Sense Healthcare, his top priority is to provide high-quality services with a holistic approach and create value for the TRNC.
